Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (On Call) to support XR2 automation systems at customer hospital sites in Allentown/Bethlehem, PA. This on-call position covers call-outs, PTOs, LOAs, and peak periods to ensure safe, efficient medication automation that lets pharmacy teams focus on patient care.

Responsibilities include operating XR2 equipment, inventory management, inspections, documentation, and adherence to Pharmacy Services policies, with emphasis on strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for PA.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB / CPhT / EXCPT).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy automation.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support Omnicell XR2 automation in accordance with SOPs and best practices.
• Manage medication inventory, restocking, returns, and formulary accuracy.
• Perform routine equipment inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor system performance and escalate unresolved issues to TAC or helpdesk.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with Pharmacy Services policies.
• Communicate with pharmacy leadership and customers to resolve issues.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
