Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (On Call) to support XR2 automation at customer hospital sites across PA. This on-call role provides coverage for call-outs, PTOs, LOAs, and peak periods, while ensuring safe, efficient medication automation that enables pharmacy teams to focus on patient care.

You will manage inventory, assist with instrument maintenance, and collaborate with hospital leadership to resolve issues.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for PA.
Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB / CPhT / EXCPT).
Working knowledge of pharmacy automation.
COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

Operate and support Omnicell XR2 automation per SOPs and best practices.
Manage medication inventory, restocking, returns, and formulary accuracy.
Perform routine equipment inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Monitor system performance and escalate unresolved issues to TAC or appropriate helpdesk.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Pharmacy Services policies.
Communicate proactively with pharmacy leadership and customers to resolve issues.
Serve as a subject matter resource for Omnicell team members as needed.
Participate in training and maintain required certifications and credentials.
