At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, including imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge and communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist positions as detailed in their respective job descriptions.
• Provide clinical and administrative support, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track x-ray orders for timely completion and submission.
• Assist patients with proper positioning during exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Conduct activities in compliance with department expectations and federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial read by the provider.
• Send final images to Radiology group for over-read.
• Label all images correctly with laterality using lead markers.
• Ensure no artifacts are present and proper techniques are used, noting any issues or patient limitations.
• Address minor maintenance issues with equipment and follow up with the nurse coordinator or Clinic Director as needed.
• Maintain and monitor equipment condition, clean equipment after each use, and prevent cross-contamination.
• Manage pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
• Perform triage by checking vitals, recording clinical history, and other charting duties. When applicable, perform blood draws, injections, and administer medications.
• Monitor and record X-Ray badge usage monthly.
• Wear radiation monitors at all times in the X-Ray room and report as required.
• Complete mandatory compliance training.
• Welcome and support new employees, facilitating introductions, tours, and training.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and clients, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as required by the position.
• Adhere to company operational standards and core values: teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.

Experience and License Requirements

• Active ARRT License (Registered Technologist) and State License (Registered Technologists and Limited Scope).
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment, maintained during employment if applicable.

Education and Additional Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Specific licensing levels (Level 1-5) with corresponding experience, training, and responsibilities apply based on state and job level. Additional training in ultrasound, bracing, and casting may be required depending on the level.
