Overview:
At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge and communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist as detailed in their respective job descriptions.
• Deliver clinical and administrative support, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track x-ray orders for timely completion and submission.
• Assist patients with proper positioning to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities comply with department expectations and regulations including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial provider read.
• Send final images for over-read.
• Label images correctly with laterality markers.
• Ensure no artifacts are present and proper technique is used, noting any issues.
• Address minor maintenance issues with equipment and follow up on repairs.
• Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
• Triaging patients by recording vitals, clinical history, and performing basic nursing tasks if applicable.
• Monitor and read X-Ray badges monthly.
• Wear radiation monitors at all times in the X-Ray room and report as required.
• Complete all mandatory compliance training.
• Support new employee onboarding and training activities.
• Maintain positive relations with colleagues and patients, fostering a friendly environment.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as required.
• Adhere to company operations standards and core values.

Experience and License Requirements

• Current ARRT License (Registered Technologist) and State License, active and verifiable.
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment if applicable.

Education and Additional Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Various levels of experience and certification depending on specific role and state requirements, including levels of experience in patient care, ultrasound, and orthoglass techniques, with responsibilities increasing accordingly.
