Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for diagnostic purposes at our Fayetteville location.

The role emphasizes patient assessment, procedural preparation, and maintaining safety standards in line with Radiation Protection Plan. ARRT registration is required or eligible, with 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree in radiologic sciences from an accredited program.
• ARRT registration in Radiography is required, or registry eligibility with 12-month registration window if applicable.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Good patient care and ability to work with diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures designated by Radiology.
• Assess patient and review physician orders or charts as appropriate.
• Prepare patient for procedures and answer questions or refer to radiologist.
• Minimize patient discomfort and maintain privacy during exams.
• Record start/end times in RIS accurately for timely study access.
• Maintain safety: radiation shielding, infection control, and Universal Precautions.
• Monitor exam timeliness and quality of care per department goals.
• Perform QA on exams (annotation, laterality, presentation state) before radiologist review.
• Submit work orders for Clinical Technology Services if equipment is down.
• Other duties as assigned.
