Job summary

Patient First in Waldorf, MD is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to obtain high-quality x-rays with proper positioning and exposure while following safety guidelines. You will create and document x-ray CDs and label images accurately per company rules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Keyboarding experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• One year clerical experience preferred.
• One year clinical experience preferred.
• Registered with the ARRT and licensed as a Radiographer in Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality x-rays using correct position and exposure.
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
• Create and document x-ray CD copies per Patient First guidelines.
• Label images and sleeves correctly for copies.
• Understand x-ray and processing equipment for proper use.
• Use and understand the bell system.
• File and maintain all x-ray paperwork.
• Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools and equipment.
• Operate and maintain medical and office equipment as trained.
• Maintain logs: Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, X-Ray Status Screen.
• Restock supplies and adhere to policies; attend training and meetings.
