Job summary

SimonMed in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray exams, position patients for MRI/CT, start IVs, and administer contrast as required, ensuring safety and accuracy.

The role requires ARRT in Radiography, state license, BLS, and 1–2 years' outpatient experience; familiarity with RIS/PACS/EMR, and the ability to work with radiologists and staff to maintain efficient imaging operations and high patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• State license required where applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years radiography experience preferred.
• Venipuncture and IV contrast experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality X-ray examinations based on physician orders and protocols.
• Assist in positioning patients for MRI and/or CT exams following training and protocol.
• Start IVs and administer contrast material as required for imaging procedures.
• Screen patients for contraindications to imaging procedures and document findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and enter clinical notes into the RIS.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
• Monitor and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Work collaboratively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations.
• Provide compassionate, efficient, and professional care to all patients.
• Assist with workflow and operational support in the imaging center as needed.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students during clinical rotations, ensuring competency in imaging procedures, safety protocols, and patient care standards while fostering professionalism, confidence, and skill development.
