Ready to join? We are looking for a X-ray Technologist Float who would report to our Manager of Radiology. This position will travel to clinics in Chicago IL, Joliet IL, Oak Brook IL, Oak Park IL, Westchester IL, Naperville IL, and Munster IN. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Maintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR and CR Radiologic equipment.
• Use C-Arm where appropriate.
• Prepare medications for, and assist the physician with Fluoroscopic procedures.
• Maintain Radiology rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified body areas requested by physicians.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Move imaging equipment into specified positions, determine exposure factors based on patient size and area, and adjust controls to produce quality images.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Assist physicians in fluoroscopic and other x-ray exams, measure and prepare contrast media.
• Process images, review for quality, and prepare images for physician review.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Use EHR to enter CPT codes for billing.
• Travel to other clinics as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience

• Graduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program
• ARRT Certification required
• IEMA Certification required
