Ready to join? We are seeking a X-ray Technologist Float reporting to our Manager of Radiology. This role involves travel to clinics in Chicago IL, Joliet IL, Oak Brook IL, Oak Park IL, Westchester IL, Naperville IL, and Munster IN. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and take X-rays following established safety and care procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of PACS, DR, and CR radiologic equipment.
• Utilize C-Arm when appropriate.
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures, including medication preparation.
• Maintain radiology rooms and stock necessary supplies.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Operate imaging equipment, determine exposure factors based on patient specifics, and produce quality images.
• Practice radiation safety techniques.
• Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and special X-ray examinations, including contrast media handling.
• Process and review images for quality and proper identification.
• Prepare images for physicians’ review.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Use EHR to enter CPT codes for billing.
• Travel to other clinics as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program.
• ARRT Certification required.
• IEMA Certification required.
