Job summary

Akumin is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for our St Pete, FL facilities. The Radiology Technologist is responsible for high quality diagnostic x-ray images with strict adherence to radiation safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires ARRT(R) certification and state licensure where applicable, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Eligible candidates may undergo background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification and state license, if applicable, required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety.
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists as needed.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot x-ray unit and peripheral equipment (PACS, etc.).
