Job summary

Akumin is hiring an X-Ray Technologist at our Tampa, FL facility in a PRN float capacity. The role requires ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and a state license where applicable. You will perform diagnostic X-ray exams, operate imaging equipment, and maintain high-quality patient care while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Associates degree preferred and prior X-ray experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT certification required; CPR/BLS certification required.
• One year x-ray experience preferred or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required where applicable.
• Knowledge of EMR, PACS, and DICOM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered by the physician.
• Demonstrate competency with different X-ray equipment and imaging procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
