Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic digital X-ray imaging with strict attention to radiation safety and documentation. The role involves communicating with radiologists and patients, and may include training junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Radiology school preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• Radiology school completion may be required for fixed locations.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic digital x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists as needed.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot X-ray unit and peripheral equipment including PACS and computers.
• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique when needed.
