Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, seeks an X-Ray Technologist for the Evening shift to join our radiology team.

You will perform diagnostic radiographic exams, position patients, adjust factors, and generate high-quality images while adhering to ALARA and safety protocols. This role requires NYS Radiologic Technology License (or permit) and an Associate's degree; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License.
• New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of NYS License.
• Required Licenses: Radiologic Tech - Temp Permit, Radiologic TechLic IV-Cert-NYS, Radiologic Tech Lic - NYS.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently per protocol.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images with minimal radiation.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Transmit images and reports to PACS/EMR and RIS.
• Ensure safety, ALARA principles, and equipment QC.
