Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License; a Permit can be accepted in lieu of License.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients and imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Review images for technical quality and completeness prior to submission to PACS/EMR.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and maintain equipment and room cleanliness.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and departmental information.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
