Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking an X-ray Technologist to operate imaging equipment, prepare and position patients, and maintain accurate records. The role requires adherence to safety standards and precise documentation of exams, ensuring correct labeling and archiving of images.

Strong communication and attention to patient comfort are essential. The candidate should have a Radiologic Technology program background, NY licensure, ARRT registration, and at least one year of radiography experience, with BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures in lay terms as appropriate.
• Perform various x-ray exams following established standards and SOPs.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization and supportive devices to obtain correct exposures.
• Monitor patients in accordance with safety standards and report issues to the Radiologist.
• Enter patient history and exam data, maintain accurate records and daily logs.
• Perform related duties as required.
