Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a 0.9 FTE X-ray technologist for the Sherman Hospital Radiology department. The role requires rotating between hospital and offsite locations, weekend and holiday shifts, and on-call duties to meet patient care needs.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT (RT) certification, IEMA accreditation, and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Training and performing DEXA may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible. Must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs per physician orders.
• Maintain infection control and ALARA principles during exams.
• Ensure patient identification, history, and comfort are documented for each exam.
• Maintain radiographic quality and proper labeling per department standards.
