Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Radiology: Xray department. The role requires performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the Radiologist's direction and coordinating daily activities with clinical staff.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT-certified or registry eligible within one year, with CPR certification. This position is full-time, weekdays, with possible holiday/call requirements and a sign-on bonus eligibility based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
