Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging including portable, C-arm, fluoroscopy, and special X-ray procedures. You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, educate patients, and document images for physician review.

The role requires ARRT Radiography certification and licensing where applicable, with night shifts (6pm–6am) on a 24-hour weekly schedule. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• 1–3 years experience preferred.
• Will consider new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm.
• Reviews patients' clinical history ensuring orders and labs are within range.
• Provides patient education and assists radiologist as needed.
• Operates imaging equipment and image capture devices to perform procedures.
• Positions patient to demonstrate the area of interest with comfort and safety.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary.
• Determines radiographic technique and exposure factors.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and radiation protection standards.
• Documents XR safety incidents and reviews images for quality control.
• Uses RIS/PACS and completes required records for physician review.
• Assists with medical record/image sharing as necessary.
• Documents all XR/FL procedures in EMR, including medication reconciliation.
• Provides instruction for radiography students and partners.
