Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Stockbridge, GA is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our orthopedic imaging team on a part-time, on-site basis. You will explain procedures, position patients, operate X-ray equipment, and ensure safety and quality of imaging.

The role emphasizes independent work within a collaborative clinical setting, with hands-on imaging experience and opportunities to grow. ARRT certification preferred or eligible; prior X-ray experience is appreciated, and a high school diploma is

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain certification.
• 1+ year of X-ray experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Compassionate, patient-centered care approach.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures, address concerns, and position patients for musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely to produce diagnostic digital images.
• Apply immobilization techniques and follow safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and quality control.
• Record procedures and imaging results in the EMR accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Collaborate with the broader clinical team and communicate clearly with patients.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
