Berkshire Medical Center at BMC X-Ray Diagnostic OR in Pittsfield, MA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diverse imaging procedures. The role requires independent judgment, initiative, and proficiency with PACS, HIS and RIS systems, while upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Must have AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology training, MA radiology licensure, ARRT(RTR), and CPR. The position is full‑time with rotating shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Hourly Pay Range: 34.7300 through 52.2700

Full Time , Shift 2 , 40 , 11:00am to 7:30pm

Rotating Call included

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Minimum of Student Training.

Education and Training:

Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.

License, Certification & Registration:

• MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License
• ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography
• CPR – CPR

Other Requirements:

• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
• Ability to take initiative
• Good written and oral communication skills

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
