Berkshire Health Systems (Fairview Hospital – FVH Radiology Diagnostic) in Massachusetts seeks a part-time Radiologic Technologist for Saturday/Sunday shifts, 11:00am–7:00pm. Responsibilities include performing various radiologic procedures and ensuring patient safety with effective image quality.

Requires AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program completion, MA Radiology License, ARRT(RTR), CPR, and strong PACS/HIS/RIS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification and ability to work under stress.
• Proficient with PACS, RIS and HIS systems; maintains confidentiality.

• Operate and troubleshoot CR/DR and PACS applications as assigned.
• Maintain patient care and confidentiality per policies and OSHA standards.
• Attend annual mandatory education and support department training.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Minimum of Student Training.

Education and Training:

Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.

License, Certification & Registration:

MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License

ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography

CPR - CPR

Other Requirements:

Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
