Job summary

North Adams Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and CT procedures. Work 30–35.9 hours weekly, with shifts 7:15 am–1:15 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating holidays.

You will operate CR/DR, CT, PACS/HIS/RIS, and ensure patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality. Requires a JRCERT-approved program completion and MA licensure; ARRT RTR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• Massachusetts Radiology License (MALIC) and ARRT RTR certification.
• CPR certification required; CT technologist certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks with independent judgment.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT systems and related software.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and infection control per policy and OSHA standards.
• Provide safe IV insertion/injections and patient transport as needed.

Hourly Pay Range: 41.8100 through 59.7100

Part time 1 (30-35.9) , Shift 1 , 30 , 7:15 am to 1:15 pm

Monday - Friday, Rotating Holidays

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by Manager or Director. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required. Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications. Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections.  such as transportation of patients when needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred.

Education and Training:

Must have completed formal JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program.

License, Certification & Registration:

MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License

ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography.

CT Technologist Certification preferred, but training is available.

CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is required.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
