X-ray Technologist - $10,000 Sign on Bonus

Position Type: Full-time

Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM; 7 straight days on and 7 straight days off

Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology standards to ensure optimal department functions. Demonstrates skills in all x-ray equipment and procedures, producing high-quality exams efficiently.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

1. General Duties: Knowledge of PACS, review scans with Radiologists, confirm patient identity, and ensure safety and quality in patient care and equipment maintenance.
2. Patient Care: Communicate effectively, explain procedures, recognize issues, and respond to critical findings.
3. Equipment and Environment: Maintain cleanliness, troubleshoot malfunctions, manage supplies, and follow safety protocols.
4. Quality Control: Participate in QC and PI programs, maintain sterile techniques, and adhere to hospital policies.
5. Administrative Tasks: Record data accurately, perform clerical duties, and verify data in PACS/RADIANT.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Clinical training in a Radiologic Technologist program and healthcare experience.
• Required: BLS (American Heart Association), ARRT certification by LSRTBE.

Physical & Functional Demands

Medium physical work, including lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions, with continuous talking and hearing required.

Work Environment
