About

Your job is more than a job. The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards to ensure optimal department functions. Demonstrates skills and knowledge in the use of all x-ray equipment and performance of all x-ray protocols and procedures. Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing high-quality exams within the appropriate length of time for the procedure.

Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in the use of all x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures, and producing high-quality exams.
• Explain procedures to patients/families, answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns.
• Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate actions.
• Evaluate critical test findings and review scans with radiologists if needed.
• Maintain supply levels.
• Clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, report dangerous conditions.
• Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow quality control checks.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Assist team members as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited institution OR a 2-year certification in Radiologic Technology (including military training) and 1 year of CT/Diagnostic experience.
• Current American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
• One of the following certifications:
  • ARRT Radiography Certification
  • ARRT (CT) Certification
  • Radiology Technician (ARRT) - Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
