Shields Health Care is seeking a per diem X-ray technologist to work across Brighton, Dartmouth, Weymouth, and Brockton locations in Massachusetts. Provide high-quality radiographic imaging with patient safety and comfort as priorities. Per diem schedule and responsibilities span fast-paced clinical settings.

The role requires MA state licensure, CPR certification, and at least 3 months of X-ray experience. Compensation ranges from $35 to $50 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow policies to ensure patient safety during exams.

• Perform X-rays per center protocol and document data entry.
• Prepare and provide films/CDs and forward to Radiologist.

This is a per diem float opportunity across multiple sites - Brighton, MA, Dartmouth, MA, Weymouth, MA, and Brockton, MA.**Job Description:****What you will do*** Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform xrays in accordance to center’s protocol.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** Must be certified in CPR* Must be MA State licensed* A minimum of 3 months of prior xray experience is required.* Excellent interpersonal skills are required.* Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
