Shields Healthcare of Cambridge, Inc. is seeking an X-ray Technologist for a per diem float opportunity across various locations in Massachusetts, including Brighton and others. The role requires maintaining a professional atmosphere while ensuring patient safety during exams, which includes responsibilities such as positioning patients accurately, performing required X-rays, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Applicants must hold a Massachusetts State license, be CPR certified, and have at least 3 months of prior experience. A competitive pay range of $35/hr–$50/hr is offered, based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of prior X-ray experience is required.
• Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Job Summary: In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the X-ray Technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi‑tasked oriented clinical environment. This is a per diem float opportunity across multiple sites: Brighton, MA; Dartmouth, MA; Weymouth, MA; and Brockton, MA.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform X-rays in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CDs when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CDs to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and resupply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Contrast administration.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in CPR.
• Must be Massachusetts State licensed.
• A minimum of 3 months of prior X‑ray experience is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $35/hr–$50/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
