Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our orthopedic team. This on-site, full-time hourly role focuses on quality musculoskeletal imaging, patient comfort, and precise documentation in the EMR.

You'll work with leading specialists in a supportive environment, performing imaging procedures, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to efficient clinic operations. ARRT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (preferred) or eligible.
• 1+ year of X-Ray Technician experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues.
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the EMR system.
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging.
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers.
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently.
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
