RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking an X-Ray Technician to join the Barnabas Health Medical Group. The role focuses on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical setting, with daily patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position is hourly with a day shift, offering growth opportunities, emphasis on patient safety, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician’s office.
1-3 experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography.
ARRT certification and New Jersey state license.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
CPR certification approved by AHA.
EPIC knowledge is a plus.
Carestream XR machine and Horizon Health Care PACS experience is a plus.
Experience with non-weightbearing patients/stretcher patients is a plus.
Knowledge of leg length series is a plus.

Responsibilities

40 x-rays per day.
Multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper Ext, Lower Ext, and Spine.
Assist physician with evaluation and treatment of patient.
Coordinate the reading of all x-ray films with physician.
Maintain accurate records and logs for x-ray films and related documentation.
