Job summary

Carbon Health in Montgomery, New Jersey is seeking a full-time X-ray Technician to position patients for imaging, protect against exposure, and prepare radiographs for Radiologists. The role requires ARRT/CRT, CPR-BLS, and a DOT certification for drug screens, with 12-hour shifts and autonomous work within procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting Medical Assistants to ensure smooth patient flow, attending department meetings, and contributing to workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience.
• Current CRT certificate.
• Current CPR-BLS certification.
• Registration with ARRT or equivalent radiologic technology credentialing agency.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging and explain procedures to reduce anxieties.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to maintain patient flow.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings.
• Train and become certified with the Department of Transportation for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
• Propose process and workflow improvements.
• Work autonomously within established procedures.
