Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant to support imaging and patient care services at our Texas location. You will perform radiographic procedures, collect specimens, and document in the EHR while assisting with check-in/out and maintaining records.

The role requires a high school diploma, medical assistant program completion, and state licensure as GMRT/LMRT or NCT if applicable, plus BLS and screening certifications within set timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

• Perform all X-ray imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with check‑in/check‑out when needed, including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs of activities including in‑house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
