Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nursing Attendant - Unit 4800 Full Time Day. The successful candidate will assist in implementing the nursing process by providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities also include maintaining a safe and organized environment, performing EKG, glucometer testing, and phlebotomy.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assemble oxygen and suction set-ups.
  2. Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including orientation, property management, and escorting patients.
  3. Conduct patient rounds every two hours for toileting, positioning, comfort, safety, and needs; respond promptly to call lights.
  4. Provide basic hygiene care, including bathing, oral care, and assistance with toileting devices.
  5. Prepare patients for meals, assist with feeding, and monitor tube feedings.
  6. Assist with simple treatments such as sitz baths, binder applications, dressing changes, and wound care.
  7. Perform enema procedures and collect specimens as directed.
  8. Monitor and report clinical alarms and patient condition changes.
  9. Assist with personal item security and equipment setup.
  10. Change linens, record vital signs, and monitor intake and output.
  11. Ensure safety and document observations for patients in restraints or under continuous observation.
  12. Perform urine dipstick tests and report findings.
  13. Respond to patient and family needs with compassion and professionalism.
  14. Perform post-mortem care and participate in staff meetings.
  15. Maintain a clean and safe environment, manage supplies, and assist with other duties as needed.
  16. Measure blood sugar, perform EKGs, and venous phlebotomy.
  17. Discontinue Foley catheters and observe IV sites.
  18. Assist with feeding tube management and prepare patients for procedures.
  19. Provide respiratory patient care as per protocols.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma required; 1+ years relevant experience; strong customer service and communication skills. Effective communication with all organizational levels is essential.
