Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position. Exceptions include: associates who have received a written warning are not eligible for transfer or promotion until six (6) months after issuance; associates suspended are not eligible until one (1) year after suspension. Part-time associates who have completed their probationary period may move to full-time vacancies within their department, provided such movement does not unreasonably reduce departmental operational efficiency. The probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees and four (4) months for part-time employees working more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
Under the supervision of the chief technologist or their designee, performs radiographic examinations and diagnostic imaging at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Executes a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, using prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. Takes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as needed.
This is a full-time position with alternate weekends. Weekend hours vary based on department needs.
