Job summary

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery, part of United Surgical Partners International, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the surgical team in Nashville. The role involves scrubbing for spine and joint procedures, maintaining sterility, and supporting equipment prep and quality initiatives.

Qualified candidates will have a CST certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist at Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CST certification required
• Previous experience in spine and total joint procedures is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
