Job summary

Valley Health Waldwick Center is seeking a qualified X-ray Technician to perform radiographic imaging and document results in the EMR system according to state licensure and board guidelines. The role requires maintaining logs, licensing, and ensuring equipment and supplies are properly managed.

The candidate will work with staff to optimize workflow, support clinic activities, and uphold Valley Health System's standards of compassionate care and patient safety in the evening shift.

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology coursework completed at an AMA-approved program.
• Must pass ARRT exam within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray functions.

Job description

Position Summary

Performs x-ray functions, documents accurately in EMR system according to licensure and regulatory guidelines in a courteous, caring and respectful manner. Maintains appropriate logs and licensing according to state and Board Examiners. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment. Maintains a close working relationship with staff to ensure proper workflow. Supports and assists other practice activities as necessary.

Education

Completion of formal radiologic technology coursework in a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association. Must have passed an examination within six (6) months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.

Experience

Previous experience in a clinic, medical office or off-site medical environment preferred.

Skills

Current and valid license from the State of New Jersey X-Ray Technician Board of Examiners. ARRT Certification preferred. BCLS certification required. Ability to use critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior and customer service skills required. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations. Strong communication both oral and written and presentation skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to persons of varied age groups, customers and/or groups.
