Job summary

A prominent urgent care facility in Fort Myers is seeking an experienced X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to manage patient care and perform various medical duties. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, performing EKGs, conducting x-ray services, and managing patient records. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma, relevant medical certifications like Radiological Technologist license, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records on activities including lab work and drug screens.
