Job summary

AdventHealth Maitland in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant with radiographic duties to support patient check-in, exam procedures and clinical testing. You will perform radiographic tasks, lab specimen handling, clinical documentation and patient safety checks.

The role requires BMO certification, CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA qualifications and experience with EKG, spirometry, and related tests. A faith-based health system offers day shift, full-time benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general medical assistant practices and radiographic procedures
• Ability to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy
• Proficient English communication to perform job requirements
• Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax and scanner
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with patients, employees and diverse backgrounds
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high patient volume environment
• Willing to float to other practices when needed (Required)

Responsibilities

• Drive customer service by owning the patient experience.
• Perform basic radiological examinations and related quality controls.
• Process reference laboratory specimens, including venipuncture, labeling, and tracking results.
• Document and report all procedures and assessments per department policy.
• Assess patients during clinical check-in, document medical information and vital signs, and evaluate for signs of abuse or neglect.
• Administer treatments and medications as ordered; conduct follow-up assessments.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and triage situations.
• Train newly hired clinical staff as needed.
• Perform required Quality Control checklist to ensure patient safety.
• Follow CDC guidelines and infection prevention practices; use PPE and hand hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
