Job summary

CareNow is hiring an X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant in Nashville to perform imaging services and vital patient care. You will collect histories, document in the EHR, and assist with front-desk tasks as needed.

The role requires an RT or LXMO/LMRT license in the state of residency, a related Medical Assistant program, and BLS. A sign-on bonus of up to $2000 is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or LXMO/LMRT license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology and in-house lab work.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Tech, youwill:

• Take vital signs,collectinglab specimens,performingEKG’s, andadministeringIM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders andupdatespatient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history anddocumentingEHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints,dressingsand bandages.
• Assistwith check-in/check-out whenneededincluding auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities includingradiology,in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent isrequired.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) isrequired.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) orLimited X-Ray Machine Operator(LXMO/ LMRT),license isrequiredin state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification isrequiredwithin30 daysof start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
