Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Assistant with Limited X-ray capability to join our team in Henderson, NV. This role supports patient care, conducts vital signs, EKGs, injections and radiology tasks per physician orders.

Requirements include 1+ year clinical experience, EHR proficiency, a high school diploma or equivalent, and state-licensed LXMO/LMRT or RT credentials. BLS and federal screening certifications must be obtained within set timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP recommended).
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or LXMO/LMRT license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records/logs for radiology, in-house lab work, and external lab tests.
• Keep patients informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
