Job summary

CareNow urgent care in Las Vegas seeks a Limited X-ray Machine Operator/Medical Assistant to support patient care, take vital signs, and document in the EHR.

You will perform imaging services, EKGs and IM injections, collect specimens, assist with check-in/out, and keep radiology and lab records up to date for accurate patient charts.

State license as LXMO/LMRT or RT is required; AAMA cert preferred; BLS within 30 days; federal alcohol/drug screening certifications within 3 months.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• RT or LXMO/LMRT license in state residency required.
• AAMA certification preferred and actively maintained.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain radiology, in-house lab records and related logs.
• Keep patients informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Limited X-ray Machine Operator/Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG's, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
