Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Medical Assistant with x-ray License to support providers and nursing staff in a busy urgent care clinic. You will take vital signs, prepare rooms, manage patient flow and assist with front desk tasks to ensure efficient visits.

The ideal candidate has an accredited radiologic services program, LMRT license, and is able to obtain BLS within 30 days. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, sign-on bonus up to $3,000, and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma required by state.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program.
• LMRT license in state of residency.
• 1+ year clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, patient history, lab specimens, and EKGs; assist with exam rooms.
• Check patients in/out of the computer and assist with front desk duties.
• Greet patients and handle end-of-day close-out procedures and records release.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high patient satisfaction.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.

• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.

• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.

• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.

• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.

• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have :

• High School graduate as required by the state.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.

• Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) license in state of residency

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial

• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start

• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
