Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) hires Radiologic Technologists to perform medical exams using X-rays and generate diagnostic images for doctors to interpret. The role supports rural health network patients across South Carolina and involves using portable X-ray equipment, ensuring safety and quality in all imaging procedures.

Employees operate under an ARRT-certified standard, follow maintenance schedules, and contribute to a collaborative clinical team within the MUSC system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited radiology program, usually a two-year associate degree in radiology.
• Radiographer certification (ARRT) such as the one offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations.
• Check equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis.
• Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain orderliness of work area and manage supplies to keep materials on hand.
• Perform other duties including lifting and transporting patients.
