Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a PRN radiologic technologist to perform medical exams using X-ray imaging and assist physicians with diagnosis and monitoring. The position operates hourly with a 20-hour weekly schedule and requires completion of an accredited radiology program and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities include operating portable X-ray equipment, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe work area while assisting patients as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited radiology program (usually a two-year associate degree).
• ARRT radiographer certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations.
• Utilize portable x-ray equipment.
• Check equipment, supplies and accessories regularly.
• Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventive maintenance and contact outside service for major malfunctions.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and keep materials on hand.
• Assist with lifting and transporting patients as needed.
