Job summary

Patient First in Maryland is seeking an X-ray Tech Supervisor to oversee X-ray technicians, ensure compliance with state specifications, and coordinate imaging workflows. The role requires strong leadership, attention to safety, and excellent patient service within a busy radiology center.

Responsibilities include coordinating DR image processing, PACS archiving, and maintaining quality assurance records while guiding staff through daily operations and new staff training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Registered member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required or graduate of approved Limited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Licensed, if required in the state of employment.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Adequate verbal, written, and typed communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Must provide the highest quality medical care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Supervising X-ray Techs to ensure quality work.
• Functioning as an administrator and performing X-ray tech duties as directed.
• Ensure X-ray Techs are qualified under state specifications and deliver quality performance.
• Process DR images and archive through PACS as needed.
• Maintain QA records, radiation safety and daily logs.
• Assist with patient care and customer service in treatment areas.
• Conduct interviews and training for new staff.
• Operate and maintain X-ray department equipment and supplies.

Education

ARRT registered or graduate of approved Limited Radiologic Technologist program

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensed, if required in state
