Job summary

Atrium Health Union Hospital in Monroe, NC is seeking a part‑time Radiology Transport Aide to perform radiographic support under radiologist direction. The role includes patient transport, coordinating daily activities, and related clerical tasks in a busy radiology department.

Eligible candidates must be ARRT‑recognized in Radiologic Technology and registry eligible within one year of hire, with BLS required. Shifts include weekends, with a sign‑on bonus potentially available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients, guests, and visitors to destination using ambulatory equipment and wheelchairs.
• Possesses knowledge and appropriate use of hospital paging system.
• Uses hospital telephone system for transport orders and job progress.
• Assists nursing and clinical staff with transferring patients from bed to transport equipment.
• Transports and orients new admissions to rooms.
• Provides directional information to guests and patient location to family.
• Verifies outpatient registrations and transports to departments.
• Retrieves, cleans, and stores unused transport equipment.
