Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams under Radiologist supervision and coordinate daily transport activities. The role requires ARRT-compliant education, registry eligibility within 12 months, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education from an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients, guests, and visitors to points of destination.
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of hospital paging system.
• Uses hospital telephone system to manage transport orders and progress work.
• Assists nursing and clinical staff with transferring patients between beds and transport devices.
• Transports and provides room orientation for admissions.
• Provides directional information to patients and visitors and informs family of patient location.
• Verifies outpatient registration and transports to appropriate departments or clinics.
• Retrieves, cleans, and stores unused patient transport equipment.
