Job summary

Moxtek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 in Utah to support the power supply area. The role involves assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing high-voltage power supplies used in X-ray sources.

Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality are essential. Ideal candidates have experience with electrical boards/components, and can recommend corrective actions in collaboration with manufacturing engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or associate's degree in electronics.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role.
• Green belt certified preferred.
• Experience performing failure and root cause analysis of assemblies.
• Familiarity with X-ray systems, power supply manufacturing, or radiation safety preferred.
• Experience using oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test various power supplies used in the manufacture of X-ray sources.
• Perform root-cause analysis of power supply failures from the power supply manufacturing area.
• Identify defective components, wiring errors, workmanship issues and other nonconformances.
• Assist and support production operators with troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
• Provide technical troubleshooting assistance to the production supervisor and maintenance team.
• Document test procedures and results to identify systemic issues in products and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and reduction of manufacturing defects.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed.
