Job Description

$5,000 Sign On Bonus - Eligible for New Full Time Hires!

The X-Ray & Medical Technologist is responsible for:

• Taking high-quality X-ray images following CityMD X-ray protocol efficiently and accurately.
• Documenting encounters accurately and promptly into the EMR.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

(Including duties as stated in the CityMD Scope of Practice for Radiology Technologist and Scribes)

• Performing common X-ray studies efficiently:
• Chest X-ray: 3 minutes
• Extremity X-ray: 3-5 minutes per order
• Spinal X-ray: 4-6 minutes
• Abdominal X-ray: 4-6 minutes
• Using internal software for documentation and communication of X-ray studies.
• Documenting multiple patients per hour in the EMR.
• Facilitating diagnostic tests and referrals for follow-up care.
• Assisting physicians with procedures within the scribe scope.
• Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under guidance.
• Assisting with CLIA waived tests, EKGs, and specimen handling under supervision.
• Managing supplies and maintaining QA logs.
• Providing compassionate patient care.
• Supporting facility stocking and training new hires as needed.

Qualifications

• Good performance standing if internal candidate.
• Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program.
• 4-6 months of experience as an X-ray Technologist.
• Ability to explain, process, and position patients for X-ray, adjust equipment, and determine X-ray needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Positive attitude and passion for healthcare.
• Bilingual skills preferred based on site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift light to moderate weights and perform heavy computer use.

Pay Range:

$37.50-40.00/hr +$5,000 sign-on bonus. Compensation based on experience and location.
