Qualifications

Role Description:

The X-ray/CT Technologist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Hutchinson, MN. The technologist will perform diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring high-quality images for accurate clinical assessment. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating and maintaining imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards, and verifying patient identification and procedure details. The role involves collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members, documenting procedures in the electronic health record, and providing clear, compassionate communication to patients and families. The technologist will also participate in quality assurance activities, support workflow efficiency, and follow regulatory, infection prevention, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Credentialed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligibility to obtain ARRT certification within required timeframe.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Radiologic Technology, including operation of X-ray and CT equipment and application of imaging protocols.
• Knowledge of Radiology practices, patient positioning, and image quality optimization to support accurate diagnosis.
• Strong understanding of Radiation Safety principles, dose optimization, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foundational knowledge of Medicine and human anatomy to recognize normal and abnormal findings and support clinical workflows.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program;
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within organizational timelines.
• Ability to provide patient-centered care, including effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining patient comfort and privacy.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability in following protocols, and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior hospital or clinical imaging experience, including CT experience, preferred but not required.
