Job summary

GlobalPoint HC is seeking a CT Technologist to perform advanced CT imaging, interventional support, and radiographic procedures in a night-shift capacity. The role emphasizes ALARA safety, patient education, and accurate image handling within the Radiology department.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT radiology registration with CT endorsement, a current BLS certification, and at least two years of CT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT radiology registration required.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience; cross-training in related modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment per ALARA standards.
• Position patients, apply protective equipment, and prepare exams per protocol.
• Assist radiologists with routine/interventional CT procedures and document results.
• Evaluate image quality, label, and transmit to Image Archival System (PACS).
• Maintain patient records in EHR, manage supplies, and support department needs.
• Respond to equipment issues, coordinate with service engineers, and ensure safety compliance.

Job description

POSITION PURPOSE: To provide diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities, ensuring accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care. Prioritizes patient education, explaining procedures, equipment, and exams clearly to ensure patient understanding and cooperation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Supervisory-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities: N/A Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities: Performs complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Positions patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary. Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist. Assists radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures. Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collates processed images in sequence of exposure, and labels appropriately. Films/transmits to Image Archival System. Dispenses and/or orders oral contrast to patients for CT scans. Demonstrates proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration and safe IV contrast administration. Demonstrates proficiency and advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including, but not limited to X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm, and OR work. Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards. Ability to operate equipment consistently with the manufacturer s recommendations. Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls a service engineer if the malfunction needs outside maintenance. Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including charging procedures and supplies. May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Any additional training required will be provided. Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking calls, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed. Obtains additional training or certification as required. Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required. Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed. Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and be able to work with minimum supervision. Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver s license). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
