Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Pasadena is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to ensure deliveries meet time, condition, and documentation requirements. You will monitor ETAs, schedule drivers, and optimize dispatch operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and strong English communication. Familiarity with international transport rules, DG regulations, and maritime experience is advantageous. Flexibility to work outside regular hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiatives.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of worldwide transportation methods and requirements.
• Good knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation regulations in all transport modes.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours.
• Dangerous Goods Certification is a plus.
• Maritime experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update all ETAs through consistent monitoring with agents.
• Schedule drivers.
• Monitor the efficiency of the dispatch operations and driver utilization.
• Ensure transport is done in an efficient and cost effective way in line with demand.
• Ensure compliance to all rules and regulations.
• Responsible for correct document flow, reporting and tracking.
• Keep delivery trucks maintained to appropriate standards and regulations, including placards and certificates.
